Clare Hoose is Live at MAD PLAN
I am a designer who has recently graduated with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Applied Arts with ceramic design being my main focus of work, although I also work with mixed media including photography and Art.
I would not solely ‘pin down’ my area of practice as ‘ceramic craft design’ due to my underlying conceptual theory regarding censorship throughout history. My ceramic outcomes represent translations of erotic art in history and mainly focus on how today’s society view sex in art and artefacts thus making my work straddle between fine art and craft.
